"Sometimes it falls upon a generation to be great. You can be that generation" Nelson Mandela 2005
Methodist Central Hall Westminster is committed to creating an environment in which students, twenties and thirties can explore and express life that is centred upon Jesus Christ.
We would love to see many people drawn into our growing community. A place to celebrate and experience life in its fullest expression with all of its joy and pain. A place where we can be honest with one another, where we can voice our doubts and ask difficult questions. A place where we can explore the reality of Christ and journey towards him together. A place of belonging where we get to 'do life together'.
Nelson Mandela's inspiring words resonate deeply with us. The church must have the courage to ask bold questions and make space for new forms of church. We are excited to be able to ask questions like: What does it mean to follow Christ in Central London, in this moment in history? What does it take to be a vibrant, cohesive Christian community that is centred upon Jesus in the 21st century with all of its complexities?
We have an exciting journey ahead of us and we look forward to telling the stories that have yet to be written. We would love for you to join us at the beginning of that journey!
We pray that the Church will take the risks needed to be great. So that God's glory - his way of doing things - might be known amongst us.
See you soon,
Jonathan and Felicity Green.
