Outside Methodist Central Hall At Westminster Abbey
The now traditional Good Friday Ecumenical Crucifixion on Victoria Street is jointly sponsored by Methodist Central Hall, Westminster Abbey, and Westminster Cathedral.
At 11.45, the ministers, participants, and musicians were greeted by the Lord Mayor of Westminster outside Methodist Central Hall. The Reverend Tony Miles, Methodist Central Hall, welcomed everybody, and introduced the Procession, which began at noon. A meditation was given by the Reverend Dr. Jane Hedges, Canon of Westminster. The Procession, which was headed by a large cross carried by people from the Passage Day/Night centre, and accompanied by Sister Ellen Flynn DC, moved down Victoria Street, to the sound of drum beats provided by children from St. Vincent de Paul Primary School.
The participants then gathered at Westminster Cathedral, where a meditation was be given by the Reverend Martin Turner, Superintendent Minister, Methodist Central Hall, and a Reflection on Peace was given by His Eminence Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor, Archbishop of Westminster. Prayers for peace were led by Monsignor Mark Langham, Administrator, Westminster Cathedral.

A collection was then taken for the work of the Passage.
The Procession returned along Victoria Street, and into Westminster Abbey, where a meditation was given by the Reverend Nims Obunge, Chief Executive or the Peace Alliance and Pastor of Freedom’s Ark’. The event concluded in silence around 13.30.
